LCT GmbH was founded in 2020 as a spin-off of a project started by the engineering faculty of the University of Bayreuth (Germany). Our passion is the development and manufacture of future-oriented, fiber-reinforced materials. Composite materials have outstanding properties such as low specific weight, high-strength and high stiffness. Fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composites (CMC) also have extremely high wear resistance in combination with temperature stability and damage tolerance.
At LCT we offer not only a high-end CMC product, but also offer expert consultation services to help you with product design and product development.

We have achieved a major milestone!
All the required equipment for handling the ceramic brake disks is installed and in operation. Now, the entire process can be carried out at the production site in Bayreuth.
Most recently, we completed the startup of the high-temperature oven. This involved several trial runs using different heating cycles (up to 1800 °C under vacuum), temperature-mapping, as well as the infiltration of brake discs with liquid silicon for the first time on site.
